Step 1. Whole, Half, or Quarter

The first step is to choose if you would like a whole half or quarter beef.

  • Quarter Beef: Approximately 125-150 lbs of take home beef in mixed cuts
  • Half Beef: Approximately 200-250 lbs of take home beef in mixed cuts
  • Whole Beef: Approximately 400-500 lbs of take home beef in mixed cuts

Step 2. Pricing

Buying in bulk is the most cost effective way to buy beef. The pricing goes like this.

  • Quarter Beef: $5.25 per pound hanging weight (Approximately 225 lbs hanging weight)
  • Half Beef: $5 per pound hanging weight.(Approximately 450 lbs hanging weight)
  • Whole Beef: $4.75 per pound hanging weight (Approximately 900 lbs hanging weight)

Processing costs are separate and approximately $1 - $1.5 per pound hanging weight depending how you choose to have it cut.

Step 3. Place your order

The last step is to place your order! Simply check out with whichever you would like. You will be charged a deposit for the beef and will owe the remainder at pickup. Once the order is placed we will email you a cut sheet for you to fill out to get exactly the right cuts that you prefer!

What cuts and how much will I Get?

You will be able to choose the specific cuts you would like. In general, you can expect around 40% ground beef, 30% roasts, and 30% steaks from your bulk beef order.

What is Hanging Weight?

Hanging weight is the weight of the carcass after it has had the hide and organs removed. It is the most accurate way to measure the beef before its cut, trimmed, and packaged.

Are the deposits refundable?

No, deposits are not refundable.

How long after I order can I expect my bulk beef?

It depends, but In general It can take 4-8 weeks from your order date to get your beef back. That is why it is so important to plan ahead!

How do I get my beef after it is processed?

We will have orders available to pick up at Vaughans Printing Co. in Hastings, NE.

Can you deliver my beef?

While we cant deliver bulk beef nationwide, we can however deliver within the state of Nebraska, within reason, for a $100 fee.
